MERCADO DE FRUTA

Una de las mejores experiencias en Higuey fue ir a pasear por el mercado. No es nada espectacular, pero sí instructivo. Frutas de todo tipo, pequeños puestos,....  Algo tropical. Una pista: los platanos para comer no se llaman plátanos, sino GUINEOS. Si hablas de platanos te refieres a un tipo más grande que sólo se utiliza para cocinar. 

One of the best experiences in Higuey was the visit to the market. It's not spectacular, but it's really instructive. All types of tropical fruits, little shops.... 

One thing: when you want a banana to eat, you should ask for a GUINEO (like the one we were eating in the photo). A Banana is a special type bigger, that is only used for cooking.
